THE INFLUENCER ( a novel x NFT Project)

COMING April 2022

FYRE FESTIVAL meets HUNGER GAMES in this

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

COMING April 2022

Fyre Festival meets Hunger Games in this speculative thriller about a social media competition in paradise that turns deadly.

Welcome to INFLUENCER ISLAND, an art installation created by infamous street artist Wyatt James. An experience for six competitors to travel to an island and compete for social media glory. Overnight, millions of users send off their submission videos, hoping for the chance to party with the biggest influencers and celebrities in the world.

Or so they thought…

By the time the contest went offline, seventeen influencers were declared missing. No winner has been announced. The only hope for a conclusion lay in an unaired podcast produced by twenty-seven-year-old Cal Everett, a reporter with his own mysterious connection to the contest creator.

With the world waiting, Cal recounts his investigation into Wyatt James, and how an aspiring influencer from Orange County named Carrie Andrews became the key to unlocking the contest’s secrets.

As listeners will soon find out, Wyatt James designed the competition to be more than a battle of social media wits. If the contestants hope to survive, they will have to answer the question at the very heart of the competition: How far would you be willing to go for fame?

Why does it make a good NFT project?

The novel’s villain is a murderous street artist named Wyatt James. Think a Hollywood Banksy mixed with the masked man from SAW, with maybe a dash of Kyloe Ren. In the book, Wyatt releases eleven mysterious portraits and auctions them off as NFTS. What can the buyer of this collectible expect?

  • 1/1 1st EDITION COVER ART + First Access to the book.

  • A hardback, signed, limited edition physical copy

  • First look at future DIED UNIVERSE novels.

  • An exclusive shout out in the Acknowledgment section

  • A character named after you in future books

  • I will loan you my creativity for 1,000 words

  • Allowlist on any future NFTS or digital collectibles

The money will be used for editing, marketing.

America's Next Influencer is a 53,000-word psychological thriller that uses fictitious interviews and audio clips to retell the tragic story of the fictitious contest, America’s Next Influencer.

The novel's structure is comparable to Daisy Jones & The Six with a tone and mood that is comparable to Limetown or World War Z. Fans of true-crime podcasts and fast-paced psychological thrillers will enjoy this novel.

For marketing, I plan to execute a digital marketing campaign that parallels the viral FYRE FESTIVAL digital strategy.

Here are the various stages.

  1. The Promo Video: Just like the original FYRE FESTIVAL, this promo video will launch the campaign and start generating buzz for the novel. *See sample trailer above.

  2. The Coordinated Launch: FYRE festival is famous for the “orange tile”— a plain orange photo that was posted by the biggest Influencers in the world. The intrigue of the tile catapulted the festival into the mainstream. I want to do a similar thing with the #Bookstagram community on Instagram. On a coordinated day, everyone participating in the ARC campaign will post a version of the “tile” along with a synopsis or review if they’ve read it.

  3. Satirical Website & Instagram Handle: Prior to the launch, and using digital ads, I will drive traffic to a satirical contest website and Instagram handle. The goal is to promote the fake contest and make people wonder — Is this an actual competition? Teasing out the “fake” contest will only generate a mystery and buzz to the launch. I would also love to solicit small to medium influencers to promote the satirical contest and generate hype.

Why am I the right person to sell this book?

I’m a digital marketer with a decade of experience in launching product campaigns. In 2019, I launched my own debut thriller, She Died Famous. Using Facebook Ads and Instagram marketing, I was able to generate an email list of 4,000 and build a loyal fan base who is ready to read and share America’s Next Influencer. I also sold the film rights of my novel to the director, Joshua Caldwell, whose latest movie, Infamous, became the #1 Movie in America last June. I’m currently writing a script for the movie. Hopefully, the upcoming launch of the movie and the continued success of the first book will only contribute to sales of America’s Next Influencer.

Thank you for your consideration.
